We are commited to providing a safe environment for our participants.
At Edessence, the safety and wellbeing of our participants are our foremost priorities. Each itinerary is carefully designed with safety considerations guiding every stage of planning.
All our destinations are located within the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom – regions recognized for their high standards of safety and reliability. We collaborate exclusively with highly reputable local service providers, and every group is accompanied throughout the program, apart from the Edessence team, by a trusted local representative.
To ensure close supervision and personalised support, every group is accompanied at all times by Edessence staff and local representatives. A supervisor is assigned for a maximum of ten participants, ensuring appropriate guidance, oversight, and support throughout the programme.
Before the start of each programme, participants receive a comprehensive set of written safety guidelines, which are reviewed during the orientation session on the day of arrival.
24/7 contact details of student assistants, group leaders, and local team members are available to all participants.
In addition, each group maintains a dedicated WhatsApp channel, enabling continuous communication among participants and the Edessence team.
Taking our commitment one step further, we also provide a 24/7 contact line for parents or guardians, ensuring they can reach our team at any time should their child require additional support or assistance.
We take pride in our safety measures and standards, and we are always ready to provide further details. Make sure to bring up any safety concerns during our calls and enjoy the experience whole-heartedly.
The Edessence team maintains full responsibility for participants, from their arrival in the first destination until their departure from the last city included in the itinerary. Each group is accompanied at all times by Edessence staff as well as a local representative familiar with the destination. A supervisor is assigned for a maximum of ten participants, ensuring appropriate guidance, oversight, and support throughout the programme.
All our programs take place exclusively within the European Union, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom, regions known for their strong infrastructure, healthcare systems, and overall safety. Every itinerary is designed with thorough risk assessments and close attention to local conditions.
Supervisors accompany their assigned participants throughout all scheduled activities and are always reachable.
We partner exclusively with four- and five-stars hotels situated in the most reputable and secure areas of each destination. All accommodations are carefully selected for their standards of quality, comfort, and safety. Room assignments are made by gender, taking into account students’ preferences to share accommodation with peers they are already acquainted with. In all cases, participants have the option to select either single or double occupancy. Edessence staff members are accommodated within the same facility, remaining readily available to the students at all times.
All transfers and excursions are arranged with highly rated, fully licensed transportation providers known for their reliability, professionalism, and strong safety record. Groups are accompanied throughout their travel by Edessence staff and local representatives to ensure comfort and supervision at every stage of the journey.
In the event of a medical issue, our team ensures immediate access to reputable local clinics and hospitals that meet high standards of care. All Edessence staff members are trained in first aid and emergency procedures. Parents can rest assured they would be promptly notified should their child be involved in any incident.
Parents provide detailed health and dietary information before departure. We communicate these requirements to accommodation and catering teams, while student assistants are briefed on individual needs.
Participants have 24/7 access to the accompanying Edessence staff. Parents are provided with an emergency contact line, available at all times. A dedicated WhatsApp group also allows participants to stay connected with staff and peers.
All participants receive a written code of conduct designed to ensure their safety and wellbeing. The rules are reviewed during the orientation session on arrival day, and adherence is monitored throughout the program.
Edessence collaborates only with thoroughly vetted, highly reputable local partners. Each provider undergoes a quality and safety assessment before inclusion in our programs.
Prior to the start of each program, Edessence requests a set of documents to ensure the safety and proper preparation of every participant. These include:
* A copy of the participant’s passport, valid for a minimum of six months following the commencement of the program.
* A medical information form - detailing any relevant health conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements.
* A parental consent form authorizing participation in all scheduled activities and travel.
* A valid travel insurance certificate
* Any additional authorization forms required for specific activities or destinations (e.g., photography consent, special medical needs, or mobility considerations).
Should an urgent situation arise, parents can contact the Edessence team at any time. A dedicated phone line, WhatsApp number, and email address are available 24/7.
Our staff is always on hand to respond promptly and ensure that every concern is handled with care and attention.
